Micky & Kristie: Anderson Island Farm Wedding

It was a beautiful day on the farm. Temperatures mid 70’s with swirls of love circulating the air. The long thought out wedding preparations took on their shape. Hearts fluttered with anticipation for the “I do’s”. Tears and laughter resounded as words were shared and received.  Joyous smiles of celebration swept across faces at the sight of the kiss pronouncing the official introduction of husband and wife.

There is something familiar yet so unique when 2 become one in marriage. Each holding their own story and carefully designed with purpose. The sacred union of husband and wife is a day to celebrate and remember.

It’s so special to look back on all the pertinent encounters that lead to this very moment. Micky and Kristie knew of each other starting back in their days of growing up on Anderson Island. They re-connected many years later through the friendship of Micky and Kristie’s older brother. They started dating and over the course of some years, Micky finally asked the big question Kristie had been waiting for. She of course said “YES”. There is no doubt these two are meant for each other. They will certainly rise above anything life throws their way, and as a result, their love will only grow deeper. Their chemistry breathes evidence of a loyalty and commitment to one another that will last a lifetime. I’m proud to officially welcome Kristie into the family.

Micky & Kristie: I wish you a long and abundant life together. Thank you for sharing your day and allowing me to photograph it. It was truly a blessing to take part.

Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant.  It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured.  It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail].  Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening].  Love never fails [it never fades nor ends]…”
